Sorry, you are right. 'which crash' showed i used the version
from rpm, not the modified version. The modified version looks
good.
OK good -- I was just about to pull the trigger on 4.0-3.9, which fixes
the problem in a different but more reasonable manner, and you scared
the hell out of me... ;-)
