[PATCH 01/16] Add MIPS64 framework code support

Mainly added some environment configurations, macro definitions, specific
architecture structures and some function declarations supported by the
MIPS64 architecture.

Corrupted tee in crash gdb

Hi,
I have several crash dump files that reliably crash gdb inside crash.
This is with compressed dumps and recent kernels
It appears there is an error during the symbol processing (usually
when looking up runqueue, but even if you disable that it fails on
something else) and then gdb crashes because the tee
structure it uses to print error messages is corrupted. The tee fputs
vector is NULL and gdb jumps to zero while trying to print the
error message. So somehow crash doesn't set this up properly.
Using -minimal works, but that's too limiting.
I'm using this gdb patch to work around it by disabling the gdb errors.
That makes crash work well enough to look at most things.
It's probably not the correct fix, but at least it works for me.

[PATCH] GDB started inside crash should not read any .gdbinit

I don't think we want .gdbinit files to impact functions in
crash. Example of bad behavior, a .gdbinit file with:
set logging on
then when starting crash there is segmentation fault.

[PATCH 04/16] MIPS64: Make the crash tool successfully enter the crash command line

1. Add mips64_init() implementation, do all necessary machine-specific setup,
which will be called multiple times during initialization.
2. Add the implementation of the vtop command, which is used to convert a
virtual address to a physical address. When entering the crash command line,
the corresponding symbols in the kernel will be read, and at the same time,
the conversion of virtual and real addresses will also be used, so the vtop
command is a prerequisite for entering the crash command line.
3. Add mips64_get_smp_cpus() implementation, get the number of online cpus.

disk_dump_header status value

Hello,
I have a dump file produced by makedumpfile with following command:
/sbin/makedumpfile -d 0 -c --message-level 7 /proc/vmcore /tmpd/crashdump-`date +"%Y%m%d-%H%M"`
When I edit the raw binary, it seems that the first bytes could be mapped to a disk_dump_header structure.
Is that correct ?
When doing this, all seems to match: signature (KDUMP), header version (6), utsname content, timestamp.
But not the status: I get 1 (INCOMPLETED), tough I'm able to analyze it with 'crash'.
I was expecting 0 or at least 8, because it should be zlib-compressed.
What am I missing ?

Address - Symbol correspondance

Hello all,
Target runs a CentOS8 kernel with KASLR enabled.
I triggered a crash on it for training purpose with 'echo c > /proc/sysrq-trigger'.
I analyze the produced dumpfile on another machine where I setup all sources and required debuginfo packages.
So far, so good, the backtrace list is complete.
But I tried to match address to symbol, I have something like that (e.g. for proc_reg_write() ):

Symbol "proc_reg_write" is a function at address 0xffffffffa4099980.
crash> info symbol 0xffffffffa4099980
No symbol matches 0xffffffffa4099980.
Is there a more 'elegant' way to retrieve the symbol from address than to perform an 'objdump' request on the vmlinux.debug binary ?
Have I missed an option for a command ?
Note: I get the same behavior with 'crash --kaslr auto' than with 'crash'.
